Transportation
Situated in the west-central region of the province, Fredericton is located within an hour’s drive of shopping destinations in Saint John and Moncton, and within a day’s drive from Halifax, Montreal, New York, and Boston.
Air
Located just fifteen minutes from the city centre, the Fredericton International Airport provides daily direct service to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax. The airport recently introduced a direct seasonal flight to London, and offers weekly direct seasonal flights to popular sun destinations like Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
Public transit
Fredericton is serviced by a public transit system that transports passengers between the city’s residential and commercial areas. Fredericton Transit also operates the Dial-A-Bus program, which offers service to mobility-impaired residents, and maintains two buses equipped with wheelchair lifts.
Fredericton Transit recently partnered with Google Transit to offer a time-saving transit planner service.
